The family of a loved one has filed a lawsuit against a nursing home after a patient was photographed sitting in feces. She also had feces smeared on her face. The family is filing the lawsuit without the patient's name in hopes of reserving some of her dignity.

Nursing Home Patient Sent To Hospital With Maggots In Wound
A family is in shock after learning that their loved one as a nursing home patient had maggots in a wound. The patient developed a pressure sore and larvae hatched in it, requiring hospitalization. Hospital employees were believed to have called the police about the incident. “Maggots in a wound are not good,” said an expert in the field.
Nursing Home Patients Receive 30,000 Pieces Of Candy From School
Students at a local middle school collected 30,000 pieces of candy to deliver to a nursing home in the community. The candy was collected by students in their home rooms through a contest on which class could receive the highest amount of candy donations. The homeroom that collected the most candy won a pizza party and the opportunity to deliver the candy to a local nursing home.The nursing home patients will offer the candy to “Trick or Treat-ers“ when they come for Halloween.
Nursing Home Caregiver Accused Of Exploiting Incapacitated Person
A nursing home caregiver has been indicted by a grand jury on one count of felony exploitation of an incapacitated person. The caregiver along with two other defendants is accused of using a nursing home patient's food stamp card to charge more the $250 worth of food. The patient was not aware and had not given permission for the charges to be made.If sentenced the caregiver could serve up to 10 years in prison and pay up to $10,000 in fines.
