Nursing home patients participated in a contest for the best artwork produced by nursing home patients. The patients who won the contest made dolls for their nurses. The dolls took over two weeks to stuff and sew, but the nursing home patients enjoyed the task. “We celebrate the soul of the artist…as the largest art show for elders anywhere in the world,” said the CEO of the art show.

A scabies outbreak at a nursing home has left dozens with rashes from the human itch mites. Scabies is a communicable disease that passes through contact and other items that come in contact with the mites, such as bed sheets and clothing. The facility is currently closed to all new residents and outside visitors.
Nursing Home Patient Files Lawsuit Due To Injuries From Fall
A nursing home patient has filed a complaint against the nursing home facility where she was residing when she was allowed to fall. As a result of the fall, the patient suffered a cervical spine fracture and a laceration to her head. In the complaint the patient alleges that she experienced a lack of supervision that allowed her to fall. The patient also failed to receive proper medical attention while residing at the facility.
Nursing Home CNA Charged With Assault Of Patient
A nursing home facility's Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) was charged with sexual assault of a patient on 11 counts. The CNA was found sexually assaulting a patient while in the bathroom. The patient was able to press a call button in the bathroom to call another nurse.
