A nursing home is in need of updating with upgrades in order to compete with other nursing homes. The facility is owned by the county, competing against private nursing homes. Nursing Home Patient Put In Bed Early Due To Low Staffing

Nursing home patients are being put to bed as early as 5pm due to low staffing levels. Sometimes patients were put to bed late because no one was available to assist them to bed. During a 7pm to 7am shift there were 3 caregivers for 36 patients.  Surveyors observed these issues as well as others citing patient missing medication and other errors.

Nursing Home Fall Leads To Second Death Of Patient

A nursing home has been cited for a deficiency of allowing a patient to fall and then placing them back in bed. The primary issue is that the staff had just been trained on that very issue do to a fall that led to the death of a patient who was also not immediately treated for injuries. Nursing Home Neglect Leads To Falls, Fracture

A lawsuit has been filed against a nursing home for the negligence in care for a patient. Under the nursing home’s care, the patient was allowed to suffer multiple falls, resulting in a leg fracture. The patient was also deprived of food, water and cleaning, as well as assistance with daily activities.  The lawsuit was filed by the patient’s power of attorney for negligence and reckless conduct.
