Nursing Home Care Partner Pleads Guilty to Attempted Abuse of Patient, Sentenced to Ninety Days in Jail
A care partner at one nursing home facility has plead guilty to attempted abuse or neglect of a patient. According to court documents, this employee intentionally caused harm to a patient by pressing painfully on the patient’s shoulder. The sentences the employee will serve are ninety days in jail, thirty hours of community service, and one year of community control.

Several nursing home facilities have decreased the maximum amount of beds allowed at their facilities, and some politicians have expressed their delight. According to police, the charged person was employed by the facility as a medication administration technician.
