According to a report, security cameras in the nursing home facility may have caught the alleged abuse on tape. Three separate criminal cases regarding elder abuse were mentioned in light of this cause. Two of the mentioned cases involved nursing home aides allegedly disregarding patients’ care plans, causing injuries to the patients.

One hospital has apologized and admitted feelings of “deep regret” after a former patient who developed pressure ulcers passed away. According to the coroner who examined the patient’s body, the death was triggered by the pressure ulcers. The hospital further explained in a statement that the patient had refused care.
