Charles Morris Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, A Pittsburgh nursing home, is set to close in January 2021. 50 residents and 104 employees will be displaced, looking for new homes and places of work.

Ohio nursing home employees have recently revealed that they “often do not have enough personal protective equipment or PPE,” sometimes not enough to work on a COVID-19 unit.
As the effects of COVID-19 continue to reveal problems in America’s long-term care, some leaders are stepping forward to reimagine elder care. Many are looking at developing new solutions, focusing on “nontraditional nursing homes that provide more individualized care.”
